We Gotta Story to Tell

Senior Class – As We Should.
Live. Unfiltered. As We Should.

Born from the blueprints of brotherhood and bars, Senior Class is a grown man gathering of three Southside scholars turned sonic storytellers— Emilio Bucks , Black I , and Hassahn Phenomenon . What started as a college crew called Deep Thawts (DTS) at DePaul University has evolved into a seasoned collective with purpose, presence, and poetry.

Emilio Bucks — producer, emcee when the spirit calls, engineer, and certified audio visual alchemist—is the visionary who sets the stage and sculpts the sound. Whether he's behind the boards or behind the lens as Flamiingo Bucks, his work always speaks loud. He’s engineered for the greats—Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire, Yolanda Adams—and now he's telling stories on his own terms. He’s also the host of the On The Go Sports Podcast, where hip hop meets hot takes. His favorite quote? “A young child says to his mother, ‘Mom, when I grow up I’d like to be a musician.’ She replies, ‘Well honey, you know you can’t do both.’” Bucks proves you absolutely can. With his current project, Dual Threat, Bucks is proving over and over again, that his talent is limitless.

Black I (aka Yogi, aka Yohance) is the energy, the emotion, the elevation. A father, emcee, and philanthropist, he walks with purpose and rhymes with precision. His nonprofit organization is dedicated to uplifting children on the autism spectrum, using education, expression, and empowerment to advance their futures via Our Kids Our Awesome. A mentor with the Kingmaker Community under Be The Miracle, Yogi is a builder of minds and a bringer of truth. He and Bucks have released two powerful projects together—A Time 2 Live and Code Name: Black I—where his bars deliver soul stirring blueprints for transformation:

“Hold yo crown and stay down / We sophisticated / Not ignorant clowns / We gon step up to prove / Like nothing to lose / Our elegant hues / Will wake up the fools.”

Hassahn Phenomenon is the wordsmith, the penman, the poetic anchor of the crew. A published author (Soles for Sale), documentarian (DEMOS, Smoke Big), and lyrical craftsman, Hassahn’s current album I’m Leaving Here With Something with Emilio Bucks continues his tradition of storytelling with substance and soul. But his impact doesn’t stop at the mic. He is the co founder of the nonprofit Be The Miracle, a movement that mentors and uplifts youth in underserved communities. He’s also the co owner of the culturally rich tea company, 9TEA3.com, blending health, heritage, and hip hop into every steep. From Chi Town to L.A. and back, Hassahn is always leading with heart and leaving with purpose.

Together, these three kings form Senior Class—a collective that doesn’t just rhyme, they resonate. Their debut project Midlife Crisis was a grown man reflection. As We Should marked the evolution—sonic wisdom wrapped in soundscapes. And now, their latest project, The Bakery, serves as the official follow up—proof that they’re still cooking, still crafting, and still delivering culture fresh out the oven.

And the class is going global. In 2026, Senior Class will take the Midlife Crisis Tour across Europe, bringing Southside soul and hard earned truth to worldwide stages. This ain’t a comeback. This is a continuation. This is a curriculum from the culture. Senior Class—top of the class, forever in session.

Tap in with the class.
